Whose atheist and what films offend you?

Specifically I'm curious about what films offend your atheism and why?

I would say The Bible. It is showing to the children the fake notions of world creation. And promoting the jewish race as the choosen one for no apparent rational reason.

Horror movies involving supernatural phenomenon that are not based on science and rationality, but on absurd fantasies based on religion inducted mindless beliefs.

I don't get offended by any film, because I like to think Atheists have evolved to the point where we don't take offense to such clearly demonstrated stupidity.

I'm an Atheist and I'm usually not offended by much; however, Ben Stein's movie, "Expelled: No Intelligence Allowed" is pretty offensive for its clear lack of credibility. Only religious zealots can get away with producing such a nasty and vile piece of trash.

I'm an Atheist but I don't get upset by movies for their religious content and I actually love horror movies. I'm more offended by people that take them to seriously, both that is. With religion it's kind of obvious, people see something on the big screen and use it as a faith assuring message to pass on to everyone, even if it's not true. With horror movies it's almost a weird polar opposite instigated by similar people (or as I call them, idiots), that suggest everyone that watches it is going to be negatively influenced to go out and repeat heinous acts of murder and torture. Neither of these cases that the idiots spew out is true, films and media are just that, entertainment. Anyone dumb enough to go out and ruin their life "because a film told them to" is just that, an idiot.

On another note, horror and religious movies are ultimately doing the same thing. They're telling a story with a moral. Sure it's a superficial story, with unbelieveable parts in it, but that's generally not the point. The moral of the story is the point. The conflict between good and evil, and sometimes even the grey area inbetween them, as has been the case in more modern storytelling. Hating on something that is a fictional creation for a positive moral and entertainment would be a foolish waste of time. Now if the storytelling is poor, if the moral is unclear, or a bunch of idiots are taking it to serious for one reason or another, that is a reason to hate on it.

I can't remember the title; but it's a documentary style where a guy goes to religious extremists (but doesn't mention the extremist part) and makes fun of them for being religious.

It's very ignorant to be intolerant of others; especially since the filmmaker took offense when someone made fun of him for being atheist.
