Re: So will Dec 21 2012 be more or less lulzy than Y2K?
It'll probably be less lulzy, since Y2K was more legitimately scary and this Mayan nonsense is laughable and isn't taken seriously by anyone with half a brain. I don't do all this crazy shit myself, on December 31, 1999/January 1, 2000 I was trying to get as sensually distorted as humanly possible, which is what I'll be doing on December 21, 2012.

Worrying and sitting in a room full of canned sardines and toilet paper with a gun across your lap isn't going to stop your doom. Might as well go out skiied out, cracked out, passed out, doped up or fucked up.

Y2K actually had some scientific backing to it. I think. I was like 8 at the time

Re: So will Dec 21 2012 be more or less lulzy than Y2K?
Billions of dollars were spent averting the Y2K disaster (which would have resulted in the deaths of practically all of us). No matter how much money humanity spends, it is not currently equipped to thwart a solar storm. Prepare your anus. It's going to get loved brutally.

Re: So will Dec 21 2012 be more or less lulzy than Y2K?
You make of it what you will, as always.
The veil that you should now know is there, is tearing. Equally as predicted, equally as self-fulfilled. The hidden aspect of the psyche is always there, it is simply when you want to face it. Humanity is maturing enough to face it, technology is getting in the way of certain aspects and enhancing others. If enough people utilize the good intentions for the healing of the planet we can make a change. If not shit's going to continue to get worse and at this point it really does look like something out of 1984.
What does that have to do with ancient alignment(civilization)? What do you think?

Nothing will happen, just like nothing happened on y2k. After this year passes with no civilization-ending catastrophe, you crazy people will think up something else to be scared of.

The end of the world doesn't have to mean mean the end of civilization. We're currently a race obsessed with apocalyptic scenarios so it's only natural that's how some people would envision what's going down, but it is not necessarily so.

Re: So will Dec 21 2012 be more or less lulzy than Y2K?
About 8 years ago, I really thought the world would end in 2012, I read so much bullshit on it, there were so many more constructive things I could have been reading but no, I actually BELIEVED that Terrence McKenna timewave zero nonsense was real even though I couldn't understand what the fuck it was even about.
Just smoke DMT and study the Mayan calendar and you too will see that THE WORLD SHALL END ON 12/21/12

I've heard it would take several years to replace transformers when they get obliterated by a solar storm, so we could really get fucked. Better be off the grid by then....

Re: So will Dec 21 2012 be more or less lulzy than Y2K?
A lot less. From what I remember the Y2K thing everyone pretty much was aware of it at least, even if if they didn't think anything was going to happen. And there were a lot of people who seriously thought something would, even in mainstream media say. 2012... seems to be more people who are already in to conspiracy theories etc. who think anything is going to happen and doubt I've seen it seriously discussed in any mainstream place.

Re: So will Dec 21 2012 be more or less lulzy than Y2K?
I remember when the robots rebelled on y2k. That shit was wild. Humanity barely survived. When the mayans come back to give our blood to the blood god in just a few months, shit will be way wilder.
Gonna just go live the nomad life and hope i can at least see lebron vs kobe in a no survivors Ulama match for the ages, after i kill all my neighbors and take their raisin bran of course.

Re: So will Dec 21 2012 be more or less lulzy than Y2K?
Y2k was about something suggested based upon a technological mishap that "MIGHT" occur.
This is about whether or not you want to actually exist or not.

Re: So will Dec 21 2012 be more or less lulzy than Y2K?
To all those interested in the end of the world:
THE END OF THE WORLD IS SUPPOSED TO HAPPEN ON THIS DATE: 12/12/2012
This would happen not because of some magic numbers, but simplly because a lot of crazy people get excited about similar numbers, and may cause some disasters as it happened previously before now.
The only thing that might be suggested to those afrid that something bad migt happen on the 12/12/2012 is to stay at home, and keep in mind that following events may happen on this date or following:
1 Black outs of electricity
2 Shortage of drinking water
3 Natural disasters all around
4 Killings perpetrated by maniacs
5 Nuclear or regular explosions
