good show, tony is pretty relate able. and his wife is annoying but you can see her point of view unlike a certain other blond wife married to a criminal on tv.

There's some great characters - Tony and Christopher go through interesting development throughout the series and Paulie is hilarious (Pine Barrens episode is one of the best). I suppose it depends if the whole mafia setting is appealing.

It has its ups and downs. But overall a great series.

Stick with it after season 1. Season 1 was great and all, but it was a lot more light-hearted than every other season. It seemed more carefree/humorous, I think because the creators weren't exactly sure if it was going to make it, or where exactly they were headed.

Once that's out of the way though, it gets very good. Very dark, very well done. If you haven't watched it, watch it. Then, as Eridani said - watch "The Wire".

It's more like a fantasy show, rather than a real thing about the mafia.

This too. There is a lot of subtlety in that show that you won't catch the first time around, no way, no how.

But, seriously Pat-Man - if you haven't seen it already, watch it. You have nothing to lose. I mean, shit - there are a lot worse shows you could spend your time watching, that's for sure.

Excellent series, a must-watch. Season 1 isn't my favorite, but it has a great ending. Season 2 and on are better and pick up a bit. It's ultra-violent and mixes Wop gangsters and psychology surprisingly well. The dream sequences are especially great.

I've probably only watched part of a season though. So I could set aside spare time to watch the series. I've seen maybe 10 or so episodes.

The Wire was cool. I had to stop watching it when they killed their friend Wallace. It traumatised me.
