Fuck off. Sublime Text 2 supports vim key bindings and can do much more. The only criticism I have with ST2 is that its autocomplete kind of sucks, but so does vim's anyway... (It's a hard feature to implement so it's understandable..)

I bought it when it was in Alpha and it's still my fave <3

Have you looked at this? Really though, I've never found auto-complete useful, I type reasonably fast, I can't imagine I would really save that much time considering I'd have to wade through the alternatives every time.

Anyway, ST2 might be the exception, but I've never seen a Vim emulator that's really captured the power of vim, there's just a lot of functionality and a lot of nuance that's hard to replicate. And anyway, I'd challenge that there isn't much you can do in ST2 that you can't do in vim, so either they're recoding this functionality for their vim mode, or they're subtly changing the vim paradigm, which is a Bad Thing.

Why don't you try out ST2 before you form an opinion. I like vim too, you know?

Yeah, well it still doesn't support full ex command entry

Really though, I have to admit it's pretty sexy looking. I'd say it has about 80% of vim's functionality down, which is pretty darn good. Don't think I'll switch since I don't imagine sumblime runs from a command line, but my opinion of you sublime rabble has been improved .
