Dear Zoklet,

Last Saturday, I got pretty wasted at a party for an old friend's birthday. She just turned 23 and I hadn't seen her in a year. Anyway, I ended up showing up and it was a pretty awesome time; lots of drinks, some old faces and some new.

The issue: I ended up making out with the birthday girl, who I'll refer to as Lin. It was one of those on the fly things that I tend to do while inebriated. I don't even remember how I ended up making out with her. Eventually, the party moved to her friend's place and I don't remember much after that. I had a weird brown out that night where my memory is speckled with blank spots like a really shitty, damaged film.

I had to leave early in the morning because my car was parked a train-ride away and I wasn't too sure how the meter maids take to cars left in a zone for over 12 hours. I shot her a text apologizing for my dissapearance and I attempted to call her later on Sunday to clarify things and make sure we're still cool given that we've been friends for a while, but she didn't pick up.

I'm wondering if I should try to give her another ring, or just give her some space and go with the flow? The other move would be to just continue hanging out and talking and pretend that nothing happened.

Just some background, we've been friends for about 5 years, we were in the same graduating class in college and we've been pretty amiable. Nothing romantic, and when sober I'm not particularly attracted to her, but she's always been a good friend. I'd hate to lose a friend over something as small as making out.

Went for another phone call, she didn't pick up. I think I'm going to just relax and let this take its own course. By calling her too often I run the risk of beginning some weird obsessive cycle. I tend to find myself worrying constantly and this is one situation where that path would only lead to madness.
