When I get home from work, my dog is waiting for me at the top of the steps. As I walk up the steps, she sits up and brings her one paw up, almost as if she's waving at me.

I think, since she's a dog, her depth perception is fucked and she's trying to put her paw on me. But, it really looks like she's waving. I love it.

1. Eating breakfast on my balcony and watching everyone milling around.
2. Buying petrol from the petrol-station owned by the old French baker who makes and sells incredible pastries. If he lived in London, his pastries would make him rich.
3. Listening to Radio 4 for two hours a day whilst driving to/from work.
4. Keeping a shitty old mountain-bike at work and thrashing it around the woods for half an hour at lunchtime.

Me too. If I've had an especially rough day at work, I like to get home, get into some real clothes and crush a nice cold beer. Then, I get the leash, get my smokes and my music and walk my dog around the city. Everyone else is getting home, too - so there's all kinds of bustle and hubbub so it's nice to just enjoy a mellow buzz and watch everyone clamor on by.
