I played the shit out of The Island of Dr. Brain. Not only was it fun, but you actually had to think and solve puzzles and shit. It had sparked the fire for me that would forever be burning for games with puzzles, thinking, and storylines.

My love for adventure games started that day, and I am sad that the genre itself is slowly dying.

LucasArts was my developer of choice (monkey island, full throttle, grim fandango, the dig) but now they just make shitty star wars games. Bring back the adventure genre!

It's a close call, between Super Mario RPG and Thief: The Dark Project. I was playing both of those games around the same time and got absorbed into them. Very rich atmospheres and stroylines that drew me in as a child and never quite let go.

Asteroids for the Atari 2600. I used to play that for hours and roll my score over 2 or 3 times. I also was and still am a huge Mario bros fan.
