Re: Weirdiest thing you have ever seen?
So...
Has anyone gone so far as to explore while in that state?

Thank you for the thoughtful response TSB, I will do my best to consider things from this perspective. For some time now I've just been on a single gear--expand. But sometimes that means looking objectively at where I am right at this moment.

This is your explanation fella's. Note the thread that the stories share in common? Wake up at night. See "something". Cant move.

I never said it wasn't, but since it's being brought up, I've investigated this matter quite a bit and think there's more to it than mere sleep paralysis for various reasons.

There's always music some time beforehand, but I can see and feel it, even spatially. I love hypnagogia
This is usually around the time I leave my body. I haven't left my home intentionally in this state, however. I have come close, but no cigar as of yet. I get the feeling there's a lot more to this state of consciousness that I have yet to unlock, with new perspectives that would normally be closed to my perceptions. It's like coming at the physical world from a completely different direction.
For now I want to try a new technique. Does it get easier to leave with practice? As in, can you do it more often and with a greater success rate, stay out longer, etc?

Re: Weirdiest thing you have ever seen?
I was at my uncles house in rural montana 3 years ago. It was around 9 pm, sun was beginning to set. I was sitting on the porch outside when i noticed a diamond shaped column of whiteish smoke only 15 or so yards away. It was constant, so constant that i had time to take a picture of it. Then the smoke slowly died out, floating to the sky as a normal fire would
Needless to say, i was shocked to see that the column of smoke had transformed its appearance when viewed on the camera sceen. the image clearly resembled a small wolf, sitting and looking at me.
I showed my uncle the photo on my camera, he convinced me to delete it saying it should not be preserved.

You should've met with it if it wasn't a demon.

We're always in that state, it's just a matter of tuning in, and...
I was driving one day. Synchronicity split me between worlds in a single moment, dividing my awareness between the road in front of me, and a strange room I've never actually been to physically but that my thoughts drift to at times, where I was met by my Shadow on the other side of a grimy window. His eyes were black, his flesh the tone of blue cheese with a seaweed-like texture. He wreaked of death. I nearly lost control of the wheel. He was looking for a fight, but instead, we danced for the rest of the day in a brilliant and gentle mania.

Re: Weirdiest thing you have ever seen?
Saw the ghost of a long dead mother who died at the top of the stairs from some sort of aneurysm. I thought it was my roomie fucking with me. I spent a good 5 minutes yelling at him for trying to scare me. Only later did I find out that the land lords mom died at the top of the stairs.

Re: Weirdiest thing you have ever seen?
a few weeks ago, i was sitting in my chair near the window. i live on the third floor of an apartment building, and the window looks out on to a river and then three high-rise buildings on the other side of the river
so i was sitting there at night smoking and out of nowhere, i saw a green light fill up the sky. there was no sound attached to it, and it wasn't a flash. it was like someone just changed the color of the night for a few seconds, and then it went away
really creeped me out, and i still can't think of what it could be

My reflection in the mirror on acid or mushrooms
Once when I was 8, I swear I saw a red skull on my carpet. I ran downstairs screaming like a bitch.

Re: Weirdiest thing you have ever seen?
I used to hallucinate a lot as a child.
The weirdest thing I probably ever saw was a bunch of translucent zombie football players and cheerleaders getting dressed next to my bed and then the grim reaper showed up.
Another time I saw a ghost Chewbacca

Re: Weirdiest thing you have ever seen?
i also had an hallucination once as a small child. only one time did something like this ever happen to me, that i can remember, and i might have already posted it
i woke up in the middle of the night, facing the wall, and there was a floating frog right in front of my face, against the wall. it had a cape on and was just kind of floating up and down with this cape. it wasn't evil or anything, in fact it seemed pretty friendly. regardless, it scared the shit out of me and i couldn't sleep facing that wall for the next few years after that.

Re: Weirdiest thing you have ever seen?
Its not paranormal, but its WEIRD AS FUCK...
A STOCK Chevy 2500 crew-cab (4door) pickup truck on top of a plateau, that challenged modified jeeps to get up. Also the trail was so tight in spots, body damage was a given. No other ways up.
The Chevy was completely unscathed, with the keys in it.
We were there a good portion of the day & into the night. Never saw or heard other people while we were there.
We left and went back a couple days later, it was still there. We were all confused as fuck?
Started thinking if it was abondoned? So I looked into some abandoned car rules & regs.
Went back 3 days after that, it was gone.
I am STILL fucking confused. !! !! lol
