Am I eligible for $200mil lawsuit?

My friend Mary got caught shoplifting 4 days ago. She shoplifted Guess store and got sloppy, forgot to remove one of the sensors and head to Bebe next. Surprisingly Guess sensors did not rang and when she went in Bebe store, its sensors did not rang either. Bebe was FUCKING tight on dressing rooms her area, she tried on 10 and made sure 10 was on the hangers. The employee is a fucktard that is, she found a way to take one because the employee accidentally placed 2 clothing on one hanger.

On her way out, the sensors rang. Fucktards from Guess was nearby with the security guard and ran into Bebe store and snatch her purse from her to check out the clothes. Security then escorted her to an office nearby. In came a fucking black male security guard threatening to slap her if she doesn't admit to crime & give out names. She's solo all this while, so she kept quiet. One of the female security then slapped her on the face and snatched her bag again. The male security guard then admit to Mary that they have someone in the police station whom they bribed all the while and made sure she'll be charge and be in lockup for at least a day till 7 days.

Mary never said anything. The stores does not want to press charges against her because they do not want the hassle, they just want her to buy the items. But the security pressure them to charge her. In her country, mall security is just a piece of shit that does not have a stand in anything. This security guy been verbally threatened Mary to lay hands on her since the start. Bebe was called up after they searched everywhere for everything and found out one was taken from them (She never admitted anything) and they even made false accuse that she stole everything (she bought everything else that was found, with receipt proven lol).

Now, the law says
'NO PUBLIC ARREST IS ALLOWED IF YOU DID NOT SEE SOMEONE STEAL SOMETHING' Rule broken.

Everyone knows how Guess & Bebe's laws are if it comes to shoplifting.

Question is, can she sue Guess, Bebe & The management of the mall? How much? She was thinking of $200mil for damages. As in it causes anxiety, mental & emotional disturbance / distress after the slap. Lol.

#1. You need prove that the guard slap and threatened her (pics of wounds, recordings..ect.)
#2. Then you need to prove that emotionally damaged her enough that she can not perform activities which effects her personal and finacial life (work..ect.)

She can stilll sue but she'll get 100,000 max - 10,000 or less.

there's 4 eye witnesses. for damage and suffering she can get about $250000, but there's something called punitive damages. Google it.

The OP even laughed at how absurd an amount that is. Talk to a lawyer and try and get a case if you think you stand a chance of winning. Your lawyer will be able to more actually assess how much you money you MAY get, but you're not getting 200million fucking dollars. How stupid can you/your friend be? You definitely wont get anything more than a few thousand dollars if that, especially if they have evidence of you stealing even just one item.

Also I'm having trouble believing there's 4 witnesses who saw it happened when you stated you were brought to an area that probably wasn't in public view.

Overall, if you're asking on here, you're probably changing the story to make it sound like you were in the right, while the surveillance cameras and any recordings will most likely side with the store/LP.
