Just signed up for my first one this year. 3.1 miles and 15-20 obstacles. So pumped and have a few months to get in gear. I don't expect to be one of the leading people in the race, but definitely don't plan to be in the last end of the crowd.

I want to do one of these so badly. An actual Tough Mudder, that is. Not this cheesy shitty knock off stuff where I get to jump over a few wooden planks. Thing is though, most of my friends that are available are bitches and wince at even running just two miles. Let alone 10 to 12.

TM has a networking aspect to get people in the area together with others who are doing their events. A friend of mine got everybody organized for our spartan race on facebook, and at the end of the day, i met a ton of people at my race.

Yeah mines in the middle, definitely no Tough Mudder, but not something too pathetic. Depending on how this one goes, I might go for more I might not.

And yeah most of my friends are too, it kind of sucks. The person who ended up asking me to go turned out to be this fat old hispanic friend ironically enough. Glad I have someone to do it with, but kind of apprehensive of him slowing me down.

I'm not unwyred, but i bought the tickets 5 months in advance for around 100 USD. Week of the race they were about 200 USD

Having gone through RIP, Ranger school, Basic, Infantry training, Recon training, Airborne School and Air Assault School, I can honestly say this was harder than any single task asked of me in any of them except RIP and Ranger School and even then it was more about endurance and going without rest, the pace of the spartan race is grueling. I'm the kind of bro who likes this kind of stuff though. I like to challenge myself and do really hard shit

The next Spartan Death Race 45+ Hours long is in my area. If there was any chance in hell i'd be able to finish i'd sign up, but there's no way i'll complete it. I'm training hardcore and hopefully by next year i'll be in a position to actually be a contender at winning.

Damn that death race looks really inviting My whole gym was going to do Tough mudder this year but things fell through when it turned out it was like a few days before the a comp :S Watching the death race video on their site... makes one wonder...
