Yes. Photons that comprise microwaves are the same that make up visible light. They just have a different wavelength.

With an electron instead of a photon, similar issues arrive;

A) any gravity it exerts is so minute it'd be indistinguishable from the gravity from the detector, the box, the earth and whatnot

B) Gravity can't directly be measured or observed without it's interaction with masses i.e. you'll still change it's behaviour and you can't "detect" the gravity of an electron.

C) How're you going to create a perfect vacuum devoid of all other quantum particles? That's physically impossible in every way. Particles like neutrinos interact only with the weak nuclear force and can therefore get into whatever box you build.
