In this thread we give each other music recommendations based on bands we like. If you're giving people bands to check out be sure to quote the person so the thread doesn't get confusing as shit.

So...who should I check out if I like the Melvins?

Check out the record label Southern Lord. Its been said that half their roster is basically indebted to The Melvins. They're essentially all metal (sludge, drone, stonerisssshh) bands. Riff worshipers indeed.

I like Southern Lord a lot. Then again, I enjoy sludge and drone quite a bit...Boris is awesome.

back on topic though, I still haven't found a band that could touch my toodles like Fugazi does. Some dumb people suggested that I listen to Modest Mouse (which I already do) in relation to my Fugazi interest, but that's retarded and they're absolutely nothing alike.
