A question on prepaid wifi modems and xbox live

Just wondering if you're able to connect to live using one on one of the 360's with the built in wifi receiver? If I'm not make sense, one of these things:

I know if it does connect to it that I won't get great speeds, but since I don't play online I'm just after something to get patches and download demos, dlc and what not.

My cousin actually does this, not sure how well it works for online gaming, but it does work.

Yes it does work. Well it worked with a sprint dongle i used to have. Bear in mind plugging it directly into the 360 isn't going to work. I had to enable internet connection sharing somewhere in my pc settings and plug the xbawks to the puter wit a ethernet cabule
