fucked around for a few years, made some bad choices, but i've just passed my first year of university and am on-track to do what's really right for me.

plus, i have a decent weekend job that pays for things i like. life's alright at the mo - it's summer and my best mate's round all the time.

i see alot of ppl in this thread that havent graduated and are really confident that they'll be able to find work afterwards and live like a rockstar. im slowly beginning to realize that this just isnt true, and im pretty disappointed.

if youre one of these guys, i HIGHLY recommend that you start finding jobs on ur summers off if possible, itll give you the experience you need to find the kinds of jobs you want when youre done school. itll also give you the leg up over other students in your class. think about how many people are in your class, not everyone is going to get hired, i goddamn fucking guarantee it


on the plus side i got a part time job working 1 day a week, but it pays the bills so i cant complain. also have no debt, and about 30k in stocks (i enjoy saving money).

i guess ill update too, 1 year later.

that interview i mentioned in the previous post, lucky for me, turned into a job that i rather enjoy.
it pays alright too. it only took me 6 months of job searching and working on my portfolio .

also living with a bunch of room mates and only paying 100$ a month rent. so i have alot more money than ive ever had before. its causing me some anxiety because i dont know where to invest it because the global economy is shit. and simply keeping it in savings loses money from inflation. maybe ill buy some property in the next few years.

another thing thats causing some anxiety are my long term plans. now that ive got a job im not sure whats next. id love to run my own business some day, but so many possibilities, so many risks, so little time. etc.

the lack of time is a big one. since i started working full time. it always seems like there isnt enough time in the day to work, do the things you need to do, do the things you want to do, and just relax.

ive got a girlfriend now too, whose pretty great.

things are fairly simple and im not making 100+k/year but im pretty happy where i am
