and employers will tolerate them if they fit school and

17. I can talk with my mouth full and not have people put
this down to my color.

18. I can swear, or dress in second hand clothes, or not

Several Google searches revealed no information about White people being shot on Sprinkler Avenue or in Orangeburg, South Carolina, nor of a burning down of a "White funeral home" in Orangeburg, South Carolina.

I did find several articles mentioning "White terrorism" of the Black community in Orangeburg, South Carolina during the 1960s.

This seems like another case of public hysteria where someone mis-speaks or tells an outright lie about something, it spreads, and then quickly becomes fact. Perhaps the funeral home in question was never burnt down, or was not burnt down by arsonists, or was not burnt down by Black arsonists, or perhaps it wasn't even a 'funeral home for white people,' but was instead a funeral home called "The Wyatt Funeral Home," and was thus mistaken as being 'the funeral home frequented by White patrons that was burnt down by Black match lighters.'

I have been to the south before. I've driven through Louisiana, all parts of it, and never saw anything hostile. On the internet, everyone believes that an apocalyptic race war is right around the corner. Everyone has ever wild outlandish story to tell about what goes on in their community. But in reality the world is calm and serene, it's almost as if it's just as Bill O'Reilly described it: there's never a mis-communication.
