Thumbs Up Dwarf plant on my desk

just as the title suggest im planing on growing a dwarf plant and keep it on my desk. using a desk lamp for light with a hundred watt light bulb. I have read around online and many people have done it and succeeded.

The plan is to get it to about 6 inches then force it to flower. I have a seed i set aside from a some really fire cronic i got a few months ago.

Now this is not my first grow but its the first grow that i will actually attempt to take care of.

My first actual grow was really shitty. i just threw a seed from some shit weed in a pot with dirt that had been laying in the basement for many years. then i placed it on my desk and took no care of it whatsoever. i watered it maybe once a week whenever i remember. it got almost no light whatsoever the only light being the florescent lights in the room which would stay off for several days at a time or on for several days at a a time in different intervals. anyway the plant grew to about a foot tall and died. at one point i did attempt to smoke it a month after it died but it tasted so disgusting and just gave me a headache.

anyway what i need help with really is the correct light timing and watering schedule. i really have no idea how much light to give a plant at all in what timing throughout its life.

also what can i use as a fertilizer that wont cost more than a few bucks?

any help will be greatly appreciated.

Also please keep in mind this is more a of a little hobby. I am in no means trying to make any money or smoke for free the rest of my life because it would be impossible with such a tiny plant.

thank you.

My room has no windows and the sun would not allow me to manipulate the light hours properly.

No shit. Especially if you're using a desk lamp... I mean what the fuck man?

Anyway if you find some actual grow lights, you might want to try 18/6 or 16/8 light/dark for the initial phase. Honestly though the sun is your friend.

Btw, how do you know it's a dwarf plant if you found it in your bud?

any plant can be a dwarf plant if you force it to stop growing when its small.

the way to force it to stop growing is by adjust the light and dark hours.. Hence this thread.

also I'm not doing this to smoke i just want a fucking weed plant in my room that is less than 12 inches tall. it does not matter if i use the right lighting its simply just a hobby. think of it as a fucking bonsai tree.

I'm trying to ignore all the idiots trolling. this is a serious thread im not turning it into a flame war.

1. Don't quote me on this but I'm pretty sure it's genetic.

2. Less space can stunt a plants growth, it's not dwarfing but it wont grow as much. Lights have no effect on this.

3. You want to grow weed but you don't want to smoke it?

4. If its a hobby of yours why don't you care if it gets the proper light?

there are strains labeled as "dwarf" but that really just means that they grow wider rather than taller. Even if i spend the money on seeds and lights and grow it normally it would still be several feet tall and several feet wide. way to big to fit on my desk.

If it comes out right i will smoke. But i am not counting on it as my primary source of weed. Nor will i be disappointed if it fails to yield any smokable weed.

I don't want to spend any money. Also i have to keep it inside my room which has no windows. My dad said hes cool with it as long as i keep it small and don't set up lights and a hydroponic lab.

Also here is a thread i found on some other website of a guy doing it. Unfortunately he doesn't get to in depth on his method. but as you can all clearly see it is most definitely possible to do it using lighting timing. It is also possible to make a thread about it without everyone trolling/flaming each other.

It is my understanding that lack of light will just starve the chloroplasts, causing the plant to turn yellow and die. Do you have any research that proves your theory?

Who the fuck said anything about lack of light?

using a 12/12 light timing will make it start flowering and stop its vegetation state. therefore causing it to stop growing in size.

don't get the standard 13w though, swap in a fat 23w if you're only running 1 bulb

they're like $12

Good luck trying to grow weed in a room with no light.

I don't know why I'm even replying to this troll.
