Default Dumbass shade-tree "mechanics"

I'm doing a u-joint on a 2000 Chevy S10. Old one exploded due to whoever changed it neglected to grease it properly
Not only that, but ALL of the bolts that need to come off have completely rounded heads and overfuckingtorqued! who the FUCK thinks its a good idea to make the bolt heads round as shit to prevent future maintenance??? I'm all for doing vehicle repairs yourself, but when you have no clue how to do something, maybe it's time to have someone do it for you, or ASK someone. This should be simple job is turning into a nightmare, I'm telling you... Also this same person has been cruising around with no break fluid, and 3 of 5 studs snapped off the passenger rear wheel.

Common practice on newer vehicles... new as in early 90s and up. Usually the entire arm isn't much more expensive than the BJs themselves, and you get new bushings as well.

They aren't riveted in? The 84 Fiero had riveted ball joints you'd have to drill out and pop in replacements.
