Acid Reflux?

Apparently I inherited this from my dad. If I eat even moderately greasy food I feel ill and lethargic. I eventually get a terrible ache right at the top of my stomach and the only way to stop the pain is to vomit. I puke out this red liquid that burns my throat on its way up so I have to immediately brush my teeth to keep them from dissolving in whatever the fuck this stuff is.

Milk seems to help if I drink a considerable amount every day but on days where I run out of milk the stomach pain comes back at full force and I get angry and irritable until I puke out this acidic shit.

Post some thoughts and suggestions to remedy this please.

Activated charcoal will work wonders. Bicarb of soda mixed with milk is also a good "home remedy" if you have that shit lying around.

Mix some natron in a tall glass of water and chug. Milk is actually not that good of an idea, unless you use skimmed milk. The high fat content of milk causes your stomach to produce even more acid.

yea i had this real bad when i was younger, it actually narrowed my esophagus from the scars to the point where it still hurts a bit to swallow bread and stuff like that ten years down the road.

i took this prescription shit for a couple months and it never really came back.

Well it seems like this Adkin's diet cannot continue because of my acid reflux. I need to eat bread to soak up all that stomach juice.

Thanks for the suggestions everyone. I will be switching to skim milk and looking for charcoal at the pill shops.
