If the US wanted a war with China, they would have found a reason to get it on by now. If anything the United States actively seeks ways that they can to avoid war with China. Exactly. Many people on this board have made comments indicating that "WWIII" would automatically lead to a strategic nuclear exchange. Kinda like in the 1930's when people thought that another World War would result in the strategic exchange of gas-bombs over each others cities. It didn't happen for the same reason people aren't going to be just throwing nukes around in WWIII. This is why I can't stand the quote about sticks and stones. It sounds "deep" but has no basis in geo-political reality.
