Methadone first time... OMG

I just tried methadone tonight for the first time*.

Holy shit, it's not bad.



I was scared at first though, because I was under the impression that it's more addictive than heroin...

It was actually pretty similar to heroin (and opiates/opioids in general).

Should I be worried though about withdrawals or anything..??





*Apparently I tried it once 7 years ago... long story.. I was blacked out so I don't remember what it was like or anything...

codeine for example has a horrible withdrawal as well yet it's one of the weaker opiates/oids.

I find it so similar to other opiates/opioids.

Maybe a bit more mellow, but not really all that different from my perspective.

I was already pretty drunk before I took the methadone...

I'm not particularly proud of that. It was probably a very dangerous move.

But I stopped drinking completely after I took the m'done.

The stuff lasts so damn long that I don't even need anything else... lol. It's actually quite fascinating...

Methadone blows pretty much all opioids out of the water for me, sure, it doesn't feel as good as shooting a few points of dope but who cares when you're high for nearly two whole days?

Methadone is great, used to be my pharm opioid of choice. Would take like 30 mg in the morning with no tolerance and be good all damn day long.

Not really, only 10% of the codeine is metabolised into morphine while 80% is metabolised into codeine-6-glucuronide which appears to be the main active metabolite. So you could say codeine withdrawels are more C6G withdrawels than anything.

back in 2007 my dad was prescribed 30 pills of methadone for severe migraine headaches... he took one and absolutely hated it so he left it and forgot about it in the medicine cabinet.

i took that shit.

honestly -- that shit fucks you up... all i could do was lay in bed because i'd throw up if i stood up... but damn -- other then that -- it sure did make me feel good.

i threw a few out to my friends as well.

In the past I've thought about getting on methadone program just to get high once a week or so. The problem is they watch you down the shit the first couple months to make sure you're addicted before they give you carries. Another thought that crossed my mind was spitting the crap out after leaving the pharmacy.

I also have my doubts about those people that say it does nothing after daily use of a couple months. My friend still seems like he nods like a SOB on it after a year on the program.

Methadone clinic they have in house doctors. And there should be plenty in your city considering you're from Surrey, lol.

Heroin= 8-10 hours
Methadone= 24-36 hours

I was on 55-70 mg of that shit for the better part of a year...and after seeing the people whove been in that same clinic for the last 25 years, and on 150mg, 200mg AND UP.... fuck that shit. Either do heroin or dont.

Yea, you don't withdraw after taking something once. Maybe feel a little shitty afterwards, but def not withdrawals.
