Pretty bored with gaming generally at the moment, will play BF3 for a couple of hours a week maybe but really just waiting for GW2 now and see if that takes my interest. Kind of annoying really since I just spent about a grand a few months ago on a new PC.

In the recent steam sales, I got Arkham City for a good price. Ive yet to play it

With some loose change, I also picked up a space combat sim: Evochron Mercenary. Its pretty fun, although not as good as the X series or Freelancer, but it does pretty good physics. Plus it has multiplayer.

I never really got the point of the X series. It's like a single player version of Eve, which is just retarded. Freelancer was really action drive which is good and it had multiplayer. But the X series is more about building an economy. But I don't see the point of that in a single player setting. At one time I used to play Eve and X³ Terran Conflict at the same time. Shit was madness.

just discovered men of war assault squad, good game. playing skyrim with mods for the first time, its also pretty good with 4 or so mods.

Yeah, that really did remove a hell of a lot of the "free choice" aspect of the game, forcing the main quest line on you like that. Hated the whole thing about how you couldn't kill essential NPCs, they should have let you do that but just with consequences, like how you lose quests and shit in Fallout games.

Just brought Rayman Origins for £14 - fucking steal and really enjoying it at the moment. I love the art direction and the music is phenomenal.

I'm also still playing through the MGS HD Collection, the Jak and Daxter HD Collection; and am eagerly awaiting the release of Max Payne 3.

Have you tried MGS:3? It's far better in almost every respect.

It is true, however, that MGS controls are complex and difficult for new-comers. Stick with it and you'll have a blast. As much as I dislike MGS:4, it provides the most intricate control of a character I've ever seen in gaming. You can make Snake move in so many different ways.
