I remember really enjoying the first one as a kid. Way back when, most FPS games were shitty, but it was all we had.

It looks like another uninspired reboot, similar to the new Duke Nukem game that came out a little ways ago. Still, I'm going to give it a shot just for old times sake.

Anyone play the original? In this one, it looks like they preserved/brought back a lot of the original elements. Floating platforms, magic baseball bats, NPC's begging for mercy, etc. We'll see, though. I'm not going to get my hopes up, because it really does look like another cookie-cutter, bullshit FPS game. But, meh. Time will tell.

Me too. It was hilarious.

Now, obviously I can't tell a whole lot from a few minute trailer - but, it looks like they might drop the ball with this one. I don't know, though. Looks like a lot of the original elements are preserved. We'll see...

Honestly? I believe so. It seems like they're kept almost every weapon from the original and brought it to this reboot.

I read that they are even trying to preserve most of the original level design too, just trying to bring the old game up to modern standards.

I'm excited actually.

Yeah, I noticed a lot of the ridiculousness that was in the original, is present in the new trailer. Those bizarre, floating platforms. Fire traps - disc blade traps, all of it!

Yeah, see that's the thing. There have been really great reboots. But, turning out well isn't the usual, so the odds are kind of stacked against this one. All the same, I'll be crossing my fingers.
