It's usually far more specific than that, though. You can work in the same industry, just not with the same customers that the other company caters to.

For instance, I can't work for Company A doing a project for Client B, then quit and offer to do the same work I was already doing for them for 90% of the price of Company A.

I hate most things the U.S. government is doing. But I'd rather work with them than against them.

There's a reason many people work government, police, or military jobs for life. It pays like no other, in more ways than money.

Take the job dude, you become a cop you and your family are essentially set for life.
