When submitting a Resume by e-mail

Am I supposed to send the actual file or copy and paste into the letter with a brief introduction?

If they want me to attach the file, would they specify how they want it sent? (Word, PDF whatnot) or should I guess and give them a copy of everything under the sun I can think of so they can choose?

Also is a yahoo e-mail address with my first and middle initial follow by my last name professional enough or do they not give a shit so long as it's not dickbuttesrapefantasy420@yahoo.com?

If it were me, I would host the resume as a website.
Then in the email you say, after your introduction " Please view my resume at www.TomJacksonResume.com " ... you can even give out business cards with your url on it.
Boom, instant job!

That's a great idea, gonna see if I can rig up anything halfway decent looking with the intuit/google service. One year free hosting. any advice/has anyone used this service before? It feels a lot like the proboard everyone made when they were 13 to talk to their two friends in their super secret internet club AND ABSOLUTELY NO JOCKS ALLOWED>

I never used that hosting. I would keep it as simple as possible... like just black and white... use Arial font, make it organized
No pics of Goatse on it, etc
