Ashes To Ashes: First experiment with static motion illusions
This one is a little too choppy because I couldn't find any transparent fishing line around the house, just the chemical green stuff.
Also, I'm not into the Zeitgeist movement whatsoever, I just threw it in their to make it seem like an interesting lulz thing.
Tell me what you think

Honestly, probably not, the site isn't the biggest out there and there's eleventy million billion classical pieces you could have heard, but whatever. It's Danse Macabre by Kevin Macleod.

It's still stop motion but static motion illusioins are when you use elements of the image to imitate motion. For example, the batteries i used to show the road looked a bit like the road. It was my first time so that bit look a little shitty, but I did it by just moving the car a bit and jiggling the batteries for each frame. Looked a bit like the road. Similarly, the fighter jets looked like they were in motion because the battery bullets and missiles were just passing them by, indicating they were going at a slower speed than the bullets but, as you've seen in all the movies with aerial dogfighting, still moving fast.

I liked it. Needs better lighting, though.

I wish it wasn't true. but it's really hard to keep the camera stable, the operate it and keep motion smooth by myself. I have to match up the "ghosts" and I try to make it as smooth as possible.

You don't understand. Of course I'm planning on doing claymation and using a stand, but actually setting each frame requires bending over something like 15 times for each second of footage. I actually slowed this one down because I was hurting bad after 30 minutes of setting shit up and I never finished the full idea. That's why it got so fast and choppy near the end
