Babies have an instinct to REACT to unexpected stimuli. A baby might burn its hand on the fire and recoil in pain, but it isn't until the mother reinforces that learning process with panic/warnings/sympathy that it connects the experience of finding out fire is hot to something that it should anticipate and fear. This is partially because the mother is often so possessive, or "in love" with the child that she will emit panic herself, and the kid will pick up on that, therefore increasing the anxiety behind the situation. What is supposed to be a natural learning experience becomes a neurotic experience. The same goes for spirituality (or at least the brand of moral metaphysical bullshit that is usually peddled as spirituality), it's just that narcissistic individuals, such as yourself, adopt the role of the chastising mother and whoever masochistically listens to your nonsense adopts the role of an ignorant child.

It's the difference between how you experienced reality as a child--unhindered by societal programming that later teaches you to operate in our world through development of ego--and how you experience now. In middle school they started talking about college to my class one day. I had never taken the idea seriously up until then, and this was my innocent perspective, unafraid of the rough times ahead for lack of awareness. But when the teachers told us how difficult college was, how hard to get accepted... well it scared the shit out of me. I had no idea there was a new thing to be scared of! That's changing my academic experience from a normal and fun education into a hectic, grade-grubbing rat-race. Hence, a natural experience is made neurotic.

I don't know if you were being facetious, but there is some truth to that statement. The propagation of your genes is one of the most primary drives that organisms share, and since the parents themselves are often(but not always) highly neurotic, they magnify the negative possibilities of that drive to proportions that wouldn't normally exist in "nature". I think this is recapitulated on a larger scale in culture and society, and it is only getting "worse".

Actually that isn't such a bad thing, not all suffering is bad, so long as you learn from it. I'd sure as hell let my kids put their hand in the fireplace if I saw them hovering their hand over the flames. Burning yourself on a flame is a great way to learn to not burn yourself on a flame. It's also a valuable lesson learned when leftist fucktards get beaten up by the very people they're protecting, because the group they've made a victim of hate them and their beliefs. It's a valuable lesson learned when self-loathing, leftist women get raped by wild packs of niggers.

Not letting your kids suffer and learn is a serious form of child neglect and parents should have their children taken away for not letting them do it. Sufferage is vital to humanity.
