Default Mission impossible: Ghost Protocol

So I just watched this movie. It was a lot better than I was expecting. The general plot was pretty retarded, but there were some cool scenes. I'd say its worth watching if you are bored. It was better than the last 2 imo.

lol the second one was all like

"oh shit you have exactly 24 hours left before this virus kills her"

and then it was all like "lol instantly cured with 3 seconds left"

And I was all like "lol that's not how a virus works"

Don't watch the second one. I don't remember what happened in the third one, so its also probably not worth watching.

I thought the second one was actually the best of the lot.

It means that if you analyze the plot in depth you will be like oh wait the entire movie is totally retarded. But its entertaining none the less.

I especially liked the kremlin (sp) scene.

Mission Impossible is a poor man's Bonre series. That said Ghost Protocol was tolerable, wouldn't rent it if it wasn't in theaters though. The Sherlock Holmes sequel came out the same weekend and was a far superior film.

I wouldn't pay money to see pretty much any modern movie. If I paid to see ghost protocol I would not have been very pleased.

How was the Sherlock Holmes sequel btw? I thought the first one was decent.

It was about on par with the first. More action, which could be good or bad depending on what you liked about the first one. Same cute/whitty back and forth dynamic with Robert Downy Jr. and Jude Law, which I thought was really what made the first one good. If you liked the first one then I'd recommend the second.

Who comes into the thread and spends the bytes to make a post to say "it was fine"? Come on dude, give us some insight, some commentary! Let us know what made it fine, what would have made it great, what would have made it suck, something!

Thumbs Up Re: Mission impossible: Ghost Protocol

I was pleasantly surprised, it was the most entertaining of the series so far for me. It had a good dose of humor and didn't seem to take itself as seriously also (love the Simon Pegg character), something I think the series has needed more of.

How is it you accept this from movies but not TV shows? Justified man. JUSTIFIED. It's like episode after episode of cheesy southern cowboys and meth heads shooting eachother.

The new Sherlock Holmes movies (aka Tony Stark in the 19th Century) are pretty retarded, honestly. They don't have anything to do with Sherlock Holmes, they just use the name for brand recognition.

Fine, they have nothing to do with the Doyle stories. Still very entertaining movies. One of the few movies I've felt justified paying for in the last few years.
