Holy shit, check this out. It's the first in a series of Half Life 2 based fan short films! The production quality is actually surprisingly good. I noticed it on Steam, there was a link to it on those news things I usually close when I start it up...

Anyway, check it out, it's good shit (watch it in HD!). Now I'm off to play Far Cry.

It's a fan made short film, that's the point. There is no excuse for Uwe Boll's movies to suck so hard with the resources he has at his disposal. He is just a horrid director. I know if you gave the guys that made that short the money and resources, they could make a movie LOADS better than what Uwe Boll could ever hope to make.

Uwe Boll is an awesome director. I don't think you understand what a director does in a movie. He is just responsible for translating a story into a film, by coordinating a crew of actors, cameramen, etc. If that story happens to be shitty, it's not his fault that the film will be shitty too. He however, as a director, did an awesome job on pretty much every one of his movies. It's not his fault that video games stories mostly suck anus.

Boll made headlines by challenging his critics to "put up or shut up". In June 2006, his production company issued a press release stating that Boll would challenge his five harshest critics each to a 10 round boxing match. Invitations were also open to film directors Quentin Tarantino and Roger Avary.
