Sometimes when I'm on the train I'll happen to see a really good-looking guy and think to myself that if he were willing I'd get down with him in a heartbeat. That isn't realistic, of course, since I don't know those guys or anything, it's more of a 'no-strings-attached' fantasy of mine. Though in all honesty I don't see why a relationship of mine with a guy wouldn't jump to the sexual stuff fairly quickly. I mean, I've yet to meet another guy who is enough of of a match (both personality and looks-wise) for me for me to be in a relationship with him, but I'm sure once I do things'll progress by fairly quickly. Ah well

I also know from talking to my friend he says that generally all the guys he's hooked up with have been as sexually charged as him. He was actually talking to my other best friend(who recently got involved with a girl who isn't ready for sex yet) about how he never has had to worry about a guy not being "ready" for sex.

Generally guys are more into the whole.. having sex thing.

IME it boils down to personality.

For example: I'm generally a bit more of a romantic and I do prefer something of a connection before going to bed with someone, but I'm pretty flexible with what that entails. It isn't so much that I need a connection in advance, more so just that I can't be bothered with mediocre sex with people I have no chemistry with. Establishing a connection with someone gives you some pointers into sexual compatability, at the very least. If I think we might have fun together, then by all means...

And that's not to say the instinctual urge doesn't exist. For my Id, the only requirement is that someone is sufficiently goodlooking. Any time I see someone past a certain threshold of attractiveness, I immediately think about fucking them... but in practice, this desire doesn't carry over so readily... it's more that I recognize the imagined sex in my head is likely to be better than the real thing, and so it's best not to bother or I'll be disappointed.

And that's a pattern for me. Sex is about 80% of the time better in my head than it is in practicality. I'm also a bit of a dreamer and prone to viewing things through the lens of the imagination first and foremost. And sex is never purely about me getting my rocks off, because I'm plenty skilled at that already.

It's more like I see sex as equally a sensual, emotional, or spiritual exercise. Sex with total strangers doesn't really address these dimensions of sex at all. I mean the whole semi-anonymous one-night stand thing can be sexy from the whole trashy,
pure-lust angle, but I find I have to be in the mood for it.

edit: So in summary I guess you could say my sexuality is a bit more effeminate than is the male norm. In my own perception of it, it's more of a mixture of the two, and somewhat gender-neutral.

Aside from bigots it's actually pretty rad, imo. Queer circles are probably statistically far less up-tight, whether in sex or humor or whatever (I find this to be the case).

Also, in a way we're a lot less succeptible to the BS social programming everyone goes through, since as a fringe group society has displayed many failures in how to address us, so it's more easy to recognize social conditioning as a fallible institution (and as a consequence sometimes have more sensible, realistic, or individualized values)

but uh, when I first met him, I thought he was definitely some sort of jew sanctioned reptilian hybrid because of his speech patterns and stare mostly, thinking they were unusual.
I guess he would have been 12 at the time, but after befriending him and getting to know him, the idea seemed silly to me, but I never gave it much thought. I've never seen him shape shift, or seen his pupils change shape or anything.
