2010 Stanley Cup Playoffs

Who are you pulling for? My team finished 30th place in the regular season so I don't really care who wins. I always love this time of year though regardless of what teams have made it.

My first round predictions:

Washington over Montreal
New Jersey over Philadelphia
Boston over Buffalo
Pittsburgh over Ottawa

San Jose over Colorado
Chicago over Nashville
Vancouver over Los Angeles
Detroit over Phoenix

I wouldn't be the least bit to suprised to see a Pens/Wings final for the third year in a row. Fighting their way deep into the playoffs is a routine for Detroit, and Crosby can basically win games almost all on his own.

Washington in 4: The Canadiens have been struggling this season, have shaky playoff performances in the recent past, and simply can't compete with the Capitals offense
New Jersey in 7: The Devils haven't had good luck in the playoffs since 2003, but this will basically be a battle between Boucher and Brodeur. The Devils experience will probably help them prevail
Buffalo in 6: The Bruins just don't seem particularly threatening and Savard is injured. Ryan Miller will definitely carry the Sabres to the second round, perhaps further
Pittsburgh in 6: Ottawa has offense, but it does not compare to the Penguins. Goaltending will be a deciding factor

San Jose in 6: The Sharks have had regrettable playoff performances in the past, but they didn't struggle towards the end of the season like they did in 2009. The Avs will put up a fight, but they are not experienced enough

Chicago in 5: Nashville Predators have yet to win a playoff series and are a low-scoring team. Chicago will be in the playoffs for a long time

Vancouver in 4: The Kings haven't been in the playoffs since 2002, but are generally out-matched overall and shouldn't be too difficult for the Canucks to dispatch

Detroit in 6: the resurgent Coyotes surprised everyone this year, but the Red Wings have been superb since the Olympic break.

Pretty sweet first night. It's just more entertaining when the winners are the ones who are supposed to lose. I'm sure Pittsburgh, Detroit and Jersey are still going to be able to make a series out of it, but lol @ San Jose, they fucking suck in the playoffs every year and I think the kids on the Avs might have just taken away any little bit of confidence they might have had. I love seeing that team lose.

Senators are taking this one in five or six games, the Penguins aren't going to be able to last in the grind.

This has been a sick series. There's a good rivalry brewing between Ottawa and Pittsburgh the last few years.

I was pretty pissed with last game, Ottawa was dominating for the most part the first half of the game, but the Pens just pulled through and capitalized when they needed to while the Sens just managed two fucking goals.

If Spezza, Alfie, and Fisher get their shit together then Senators should be able to take this, otherwise we're fucked. The young guys have been doing great, but we need the vets to step up.

Huh,when were the Sens ever whole....They be sucking, which in all honestly is surprising considering there both well matched teams and always have been for the most part.....Hockey can be a role of the dice sometimes though. Ya I also just realized, that the Sens lead the playoffs for most penalty's and they also lead the playoffs for most converted power plays, which makes up most of there goals....That said is the reason why there loosing. There just beating themselves.
