Default Bolivia (Summer 2010 trip)

My friend and I are planning on a summer trip, and as I have family in Bolivia, we figure it's a good enough place to go and we should be able to do it relatively cheaply. I have only been to La Paz and Coroico, so I'm sure there are plenty of new things we can do. If you have heard of or know of any cool things to do in Bolivia, please post them here, I'd appreciate it.

My friend spent a good month or so in Boliva as part of his trip to south America I'll ask him next time I speak to him...
You probably know more than him as it is, I remember him mentioning that he went to some salt flats..

la salar de uyuni. Never been there but thanks for reminding me, it turns into a mirror when a thin layer of water covers it.

I've been to Bolivia. I only went to La Paz and Santa Cruz but still enjoyed it. Santa Cruz is only about 400m above sea level so it's not so literally breath-taking like La Paz or Sucre. It may be cold by then though.

If you go back to La Paz hit up the Route 66 bar. You can buy coke off the barman and sit in there snorting it off the tables.

The death road would be a good experience too, I'd imagine. I didn't do it, but you can rent a pushbike and do it at your own pace. I'm not sure if you can still do it but a few years ago you used to be able to take a guided tour of San Pedro prison in La Paz.

The best place to look for info would be wikitravel probably. There's LOADS to do in Bolivia. It's a fantastic country. Since you have Latin blood I assume you can speak castellano? Or at least a little bit? English won't get you very far in Bolivia.
