Its a friggin sloth... The body probably rotted for a bit in the water and lost its fur, then decomposition caused the abdominal region to become bloated.

Doesn't take much to run a simple DNA test on the thing and confirm its terrestrial.

I can assure you a corpse pulled from the water is pretty much exactly that color and is quite bloated.
