Her hand feeding that lil critter reminds me of the four legged orange fuzzy parrot sleeping on my shoulder right now. One of our cats had a litter about 8 weeks ago and one of the babies got an upper respiratory virus that prevented it from breathing through it's nose. It could not nurse as eating from the teat requires breathing through the nose. Plus young kittens use their sense of smell to locate the nipple. Long story short I gave it L-Lysine to prevent the virus from replicating and hand fed the poor thing every 4 hours for almost 3 weeks. It is all better now and convinced I am it's mother. She sleeps on my shoulder whenever I am on my laptop and sitting on the couch.
It would be really cool to bond that close with something from the wild though.
