Default Alcohol addiction

Over the past year I have found myself drinking bottle after bottle of beer, even as I write this thread I continue my drinking habit. Only being 22 years old with no intent to stop drinking, what negative effects on my body should I encounter with time to come?

I've looked in a fair few places for actual information on the subject but I can't find any real information on the topic, could someone please help me here?

alcohol addiction is major. My uncles all have been addicted to it or recovering addicts. As fair as long term effects, it will fuck your liver up, your social life will start declining because you will make your self look stupid while you're wasted. Your home life will suffer because soon you will be too lazy to get a job.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alcohol_addiction

might help.

Alcohol is (in my opinion) one of the worse substances to abuse. Regardless of socieities stance on alcohol use, it's serious shit that will do serious damage.

This is the worst part IMO. Who wants to hang out with a drunk? Maybe if this was high school, but as time goes by people will wise up and begin to realize the depth of your situation. You become a fucking joke.

Is it really that easy for a fuck up to make a living in the south? Hmmm....

I worked with a chronic drunk a few summers ago. He would drink during work and try to act all slick, but everyone could tell he was wasted.

He was always bumming money off of people, and although he was a decent guy, booze took most of his good nature away from him.

He was always trying to hide it from his wife too.... If I had to hide my weed smoking from my girl it would drive me fucking nuts. So I can imagine his home situation wasn't all that swell either.

But yeah, no takes a drunk seriously. Talking to a drunk is like talking to a toddler.

I get drunk all the time. But I don't fall into that category of 'drunk' that you're thinking of. I know what you mean though by 'drunk'. The people that seem half retarded more than half the time. I guess that type of drunk progresses with age, as I don't know many guys in their 20's that are like that.

Me, I love gettin buzzed on suds myself, I drink a tall 6er and a tall boy every night, I'm only 22 too but I restrict myself to drinkin after nightfall only, and to cheap strong beer like natural ice or 311. I joined the navy at 18 and haven't dropped the bottle since. Hey dude, it's natural at this age, but don't drink because you crave, just drink because you want. I started at 12, I don't drink as much as from lets say 17-21 but I've pretty much leveled out.

Dude, alcohol is horrible. If you think you have a problem with it, try to kick the habit! I do a lot of drugs, but I think that I have lost so much more due to drinking. Hell, I'll buy a ball of coke just to keep drinking all night.

You dont want to go through life "fat, drunk, and stupid." as the guy in Animal House puts it.

You dumbass! Coke kills your buzz! I tried coke a couple times, each time I was drunk as hell and each time I felt sober and got a boost of energy and ground the hell out of my teeth, while I had numb gums, what a fuckin wast of time and money, do something that fucks you up in the short run, and not makes you a wide eyed mongrel sellin every thing you own to get your next eightball! Dumbass!

Talk shit back if you want, I love a good fight!

"old with no intent to stop drinking, what negative effects on my body should I encounter with time to come?"

You name it.

Seriously, alcohol is a small molecule and a corrosive one--it will damage EVERY organ and tissue system in your body, but especially the GI tract and the central nervous system.

Yet it's the one that's legal. Brilliant logic, ain't it?

No, I'm not trying to "convert" or "12 step" you. Quite frankly I could really care less, however it gives a bit of a general description which you could benefit from. I did a research project for scientific research and design (a class I took years ago) and found all sounds of information on alcoholism.

Unfortunately I can't remember too much of it. Google it, wikipedia it, if you're really that interested.
