Default Help identifying this plant.

The top of the plant (3rd picture) has a tiny hairy part that looks like it has twirling sepals on it. The stem isn't really hairy, but when you pick it up, the hairs collide into your hands and it feels weird. It has a strong plant like scent to it. I found it growing near a drainage system, and I heard that Datura Stramonium is native to my town. I also have a seedling, and it started off pretty stretched out (Under other weeds) and it has 2 long leaves, and 2 small leaves right above it.

I've seen them growing near drainage and streams as well, but then again it kinda looks like a Fig sappling, but the stem mets me doubt the latter.

Thank you for answering to this thread. I do not know of any fig saplings anywhere here, so I'm not too sure either.

Nah, but last night I did a weed search on all the characteristics that this plant had matched up to Jimson Weed, but I still don't know.

Maybe I should just eat a leaf and see what happens

Yeah, true that.

I saw some other pictures of Datura, but most of them had bark-like stems, but at the same time I saw some other ones that have the classic green stem.
