It was like a family gathering at my uncle's house in the boonies. We were all eating and his dog took off after something barking its head off. All the womanz were all scared and whatnot so me and my uncle jumped on the 4 wheeler to check it out. We finally caught up with the dog and it had cornered the skunk up in a little shed thing. My uncle carries a gun at all times and pulled it out taking aim. I ask him if I could shoot it. He says yes. I slowly take aim at the near harmless creature, my heart is pounding, my mind is racing with thoughts ranging from compassion to torture. This was my first time to take an animals life. It was a very confusing and uneasy feeling, but my hand remained steady, steadier than it has ever felt in my life, this reassuring steadiness was the deciding factor that is was meant to be. I take one last look in the skunk's eyes and POW POW POW!, My uncle raped me. Now I have herpes, and I smell like skunk.
