Is hot and cold water therapy complete bullshit, or some kind of miracle cure?

What do you guys think? I did it before(I have the flu) and I felt absolutely amazing after it, way better than I did before it. I went from having lots of mucus, congestion, unclear head and a cough to having none of those except for a tiny bit of mucus and my cough.. though my cough is almost gone now! (about 5 hours after the therapy, I've also been taking vitamin C, fish oil, many types of antioxidants, fruit, eaze-a-cold all day too though.. But I usually do that everytime I get the flu.)

Do you guys think its bullshit and I'm just much better now because of all the other stuff I've been taking all day? Like I caught it early and got lucky?.. Or is this therapy the real deal?

I always turn the water completely cold before I get out of the shower, not because of its potential health benefits (I only do it for 10-15 seconds anyway) but its a good way to finish waking up and also keeps you from being all sweaty if you have to get dressed right away.

I've known about the benefits of cold showers for a while, but always found it hard to get into them, especially in the winter. So what I would do is step into hot water before changing to cold, making it much more bearable. So I guess you can say I've been using hot/cold water therapy for a while now without knowing it.

Something I've noticed from experience is that doing this combines the benefits of hot and cold showers. Hot is very relaxing and cold does wonders for your circulatory system. Put them together and it somehow magnifies the effects.

i take cold showers at the end of my warm showers and in the few months ive been doing it, my sking feels much better, and i feel more awake when i get out of the show.
