Have you ever used them (for sleeping, not for something like trying to forget how terrible your life is)?
Yes and who the fuck would use them to escape from life? The only one you can have remote fun with is Ambien and that's only because it tricks your mind into that sleep deprived mode.
Are they easy to get addicted to? How many did you use/over what space of time?
lolwut? Addicted? No. I used the required dosage, that is why they recommend it.
When you wake up are you drowsy?
With everything except Ambien.
Is it usually a deep sleep? How long do you usually sleep when on them?
I sleep my fully 8 hours and feel refreshed when it's ambien. All others I sleep about the same or a little longer but feel drowsy as shit for 4 hours after I wake up. The sleep is deep with medication but it's limited in duration. Ambien only puts you in a deep sleep for 2 hours (extended release is longer) and others usually go up to no longer than 4 hours after that it depends on how easy you are to wake up.
How much were they? Were you prescribed them/can you buy them OTC?
For the OTC stuff, as much as the price of a bottle of advil. Doctor prescribed shit is however much your insurance covers.
Are there (m)any side effects to their use, besides feeling sleepy?
U.S. #1 Financier of Terrorism
I really reccomend against using sleeping pills. I'm a hypocrite because I use them, but I wish I never would have started.
If you're going to do it, use natural ones like melatonin. Sleeping is one of the most important aspects of ones life and it it has a big impact on how your mind state and how you behave/percieve things. Personally I believe the way you sleep/your sleeping patterns has a big influence on who you are as a person.
But then again, I don't know your specific circumstances, so that's just my two cents.
Well, there are two kinds of sleeping ades. There are the ones that make you sleep all trough the night and there are the ones that put you to sleep.
First one is bad and always leaves me fucked in the morning. Second one I have had no problems with.
