Does this ever happen to anyone else?
Lastnight i opened my eyes and i couldnt move for a while. i was stuck, all i remember was feeling very bad vibes and telling myself i was dreaming, and then i cried out to god in my head and then i wasn't paralyzed anymore.

Re: sometimes when i sleep, i wake up paralyzed.
oh.. but while i was typing this i was typing that i saw 4 beings, one of them was a witch.
But i thought i would leave that part out cuz im too stoned to type it all.
...then i read''old hag'' syndrome refers to a witch sitting on your chest.
Even though i dont recall her sitting on my chest, i felt the presence of a witch.
Crazy stuff.

see devils can see into the future so they already knew that you were going to bring their music into your house and cause yourself to become hainted by them.
the witch sitting on your chest might shit on you as well. you need to get some sage and smoke them out of your house.
also try sleeping sitting up sort of like in a chair.lazyboy or a couch
letus know how this turns out.

Havent had the paralysis since.
the night before last, me and my friend were watching a video on the vid, camera(in the same house) the tv was on aux, and nothing was plugged in so it was just static, we were stoned so none of us got up to turn it off, moments later while were watching the video, we noticed that it shut off, the remote was on top of the tv and nobody else was in the house. Then the music from the laptop turns on, i go to turn it off, a second or two after we both spot the chord from the nintendo hops, like somebody moved it.
Its safe to say that this house is just a little creepy.

Its called sleep paralysis. Youre body paralyzes itself during certain stages of REM sleep so you dont get up and start walking around and hurting yourself. Some individuals wake up during this stage, and hallucinations may occur.

That's happened to me several times. I'm glad I knew what it was, it's a scary experience, very unsettling. Sometimes while I'm lying there paralyzed, it feels like something is moving around on my matress, like a cat walking around my body.

Yea its real common in mexican folklore. My mom and a couple of friends have experienced it, but they dont know what it is. They say its a spirit of a dead person sitting on their chest. And whenever a person who experiences it sleeps over at someone elses house, they bring the "spirit" with them, and they start experiencing it too.
If only they knew it was just psychological.

Nothing is "just psychological" that's the whole point of you being here, to learn that you are one, and everything is interconnected.
When you learn this, you accept it, and when you accept it you can utilize it and learn from it.
It is a vulnerability point, unless you are attempting to focus on the point of transition between states, it's best to move quickly through this point.

Re: sometimes when i sleep, i wake up paralyzed.
^ Because this is about exploring more than what you have come to the conclusion of.
If it is a purely psychological affect, then what it is?
What's the reasoning behind this? Or your beliefs?
What's your experience? Anything to offer?

Why can't you understand? Why do you think my answers are vague, when what's vague to you, may not be vague to someone else.
Hint: Get over yourself, and you will literally gain yourself.

Re: sometimes when i sleep, i wake up paralyzed.
I happened to me every day for a week then never happened again. My dad said it happened to him one time and know a lot of friends who have also experienced this once or twice. It freaked me the fuck out and I actually posted a thread about it on zoklet like 2 minutes after I regained my senses. Happened the first week I was sober from opiates / weed / alcohol / everything in about a year

Re: sometimes when i sleep, i wake up paralyzed.
As previously stated, it's called sleep paralysis and is a fairly common purely psychological event. There is NOTHING metaphysical about it.
Again, as previously stated, sleep paralysis happens when you're half awake from a dream state and your brain's motor region is inactive. It is common in most cases to feel a presense in the room and/or an impending sense of doom or harm. This is because your mind is still in a semi-dream state and paralysis causes us to feel opressed and fearful. Your mind perks up when you experience fear. This is a survival mechanism and is hardwired into the limbic region of the brain. Combine the natural vivid imaginings of a person that is afraid with the reality of the dream state and temporary paralysis, and this makes for a quite unpleasant occurence for most people.
There is nothing supernatural about sleep paralysis. This topic should be in SW.

Re: sometimes when i sleep, i wake up paralyzed.
OP: Start sleeping on your stomach. It used to happen to me when I would sleep on my back, and occasionally when I would sleep on my side. It only happened to me once while sleeping on my stomach. It's been years since it's happened to me, but I still can't sleep on my back to this day. ASP (it's techically called Awareness during Sleep Paralysis, because unless you sleepwalk, your body is always paralyzed when you sleep) is some scary shit.

Re: sometimes when i sleep, i wake up paralyzed.
I've had this happen to me a couple times, several years apart. Like it or not, the problem described in this thread is little more than a glitch: Sleep Paralysis. Even when I was religious I knew this. I noticed I was awake, but couldn't control my body. Of course with my fears, instead of presuming it's something ridiculous like spirits and/or witches, I immediately took to my first fear: there's something wrong with me. My body is malfunctioning. Am I going to die?
But then eventually I regained control over myself and I was all good. I remember looking it up, and reading about sleep paralysis. It's no big deal man.
I get the impression that when it happens to you, you genuinely believe it's some sort of paranormal or metaphysical happening, a gateway into the unknown perhaps; I don't know. You've probably got yourself so wrapped up in these little "personal" experiences like that you've based your beliefs on them, refusing to believe they are actually just your brain fucking with you.
Wake up, junior: this is the wrong fucking forum. HampTheToker is 100% correct. You want to look into the paranormal and your spiritual experiences? Fine, but this thread topic is based purely on scientific facts. Case closed.
I feel it right to use this smiley:

Re: Re: sometimes when i sleep, i wake up paralyzed.
Taking something you don't understand and giving it a supernatural explanation does not make it true and does not expand your knowledge of anything whatsoever.
You call me limited, but I have to ask...didn't that emotional outburst of yours just cut you off to hearing and trying to understand anything I had said or will say? Instead of researching the science behind what I said, you decided to attack me. Which one of those seems more "limited" to you?

Re: sometimes when i sleep, i wake up paralyzed.
Yes, it is due to the diet of the planet!
With too many blocks, how would one come into close connection with what they feel within? If they are fighting it with everything?
If they aren't fighting and simply became distracted and are disjointed at life!?
If they dream, but do not recognize the nature and aspects of the dream as portions of their own consciousness...yes blocks in place! They must be removed to allow energy to flow freely and ultimately come full circle, back into itself, into a self-realization. This is in the moment.
Hint!: When you become lucid, this is the result of the feedback loop mentioned above.
When you become self-aware, it is the same concept.
And when the outcome, experience, and information involved describes more than is possible by a "glitch", then what?
What do you have to offer for that situation?
And what forum then, does it lie in?
When the sleep paralysis state, can be utilized to enter the lucid dream state, or the sleep state, while awake (due to the heightened sense of awareness, that arises from the unusual nature of the state and the irregularity of it (any irregularity, or irregular state (that which you are not at "home" in) causes this response and is a potential "opening" for a higher informational experience which does not appear to be limited by the physical restrictions at the time.
Because of the way this was brought up, because of the possibilities, this is being discussed here and now, and you can benefit from it.
When you area ready to experience more, you will ultimately begin asking for more, consciously or subconsciously, and that is the nature of the conscious co-creation experience of your LIFE.
Enjoy, and expand, instead of the opposite, to provide the most fulfilling response and experience.
Note: This is simply a process that yields more information, from which to derive more possibilities, from which to derive more freedoms.
With action and freedom, you must have a guidance system or control, and a way to deal with the responsibilities, otherwise it will get all too serious, all too fast, and there may be a "burning" out affect.
Note: That which you experience in the dream state is "real", in terms of what's actually happening to you, and actually being experienced in terms of what you know as far as you know, and so the experiences or events in the sleep paralysis is just as real.
When you are in the state, watch closely, watch calmly, and watch with a balanced mindset, what happens, at the moment of transition, between lying in your bed, and standing in a new world.
This will yield new information, new capabilities, and ultimately new experiences, and so this state, is obviously a pathway to something more.
The idea in many a life is, any situation is open ended, any situation is potentially a portal to the beyond, and capable of creating and carrying new, higher information, but that you require a positive souled mindset, in action with the body, to combine and create the right energy, in order to pass through this possible experience, into a new you, a more expanse you.
For instance, imagine, if in this state, you "make contact" with your self, in a new way, and understand where a portion of your fears come from.
Spontaneous moments of deep, internalized bliss, or meditation, are offered through DMT experiences, which may play a constant role in the brain and sleep/NDE or altered state/religious experience.
Find the center, and you will find the particular purpose of the experience that is relative to you, and your level of learning.
Find the Elders, and you will be in a circle of light, very high up.

Always a show, the orgasm of life.
If you do not see the divine here, do you see it elsewhere?
If you do not see it elsewhere, you probably aren't looking for it, and in that case, your intentions will directly guide the outcome of the situation.
If you are or aren't looking to uncover more of what it means to be you, this is the nature of the ego and of the limitations of self and perception, induce self-awareness.
A bit too simple for what lies ahead, when the ego merges with the divine, yes the large part of the world and your reality, that you are currently not in full connection with.
Also note: Hallucinogens are very serious and are not to be played with, they are healing, and they are mind opening, this is not for everyone to experience at the same time, as everyone is at a various level.
None-the-less, the correlation stands between altered states of awareness and the larger view of reality. It's up to you to put ego and fear aside and merge with what is currently unknown to you.
