Dexedrine Vs Adderall

So i just wanted to know which one would be better for treating my ADD, i have used and abused adderall XR and didnt really like the daily side effects (when taken correctly) so i asked my doc for Dexedrine yesterday and she said i could try it. I've heard it was better for people with social anxiety because it was alot "smoother".

Personal Info: Im 15, diagnosed with bipolar disorder, social anxiety and ADD.
I'm Currently taking: lamictal 150mg, Mirtazepine 50mgs and 1mg of klonopin at night. And Dexedrine XR 15mgs and 1mg of xanax in the morning.

I plan on using dexedrine correctly and am over my amphetamine abuse days.

But dexedrine would be smoother. Adderall is 2 kinds of amphetamine salts, Dex is straight amphetamine. Obviously it would be smoother

Well I used to go on 3-4 day long binges snorting 150 mgs (and sometimes even more) a night, it was made worse by the fact I didnt know how bad snorting those damn crushed up beads really was. my worst binge was over christmas break last year and I think I made it to about a week of copious abuse of adderall, followed by 2 weeks of amphet. physchosis which was the worst hell one could imagine.

I tried dexedrine today and yesterday and I must say its is alot calmer and cleaner than adderall. I didn't even have a dry mouth and there was little appetite suppression. Its a shame most doctors shun at the very mention of dex. I love it.

I still dont know why she put me on an anti epileptic medication that may be a "mood suppresant". Maybe because of all the benzos, idk.

Well lamictal is used for bipolar disorder too. Have you had a seizure before?

Lamictal is basically useless for all but a few mood disorders. It's more or less a prophylactic treatment.

I knew something was wrong when the first doc i went who gave me prozac said "Oh and by the way, if you start feeling like you want to kill yourself stop taking it."

lamictal is the only script i think i could live without, i tried going no pills for a month and just fell apart. Bad grades, panic attacks, upredicable moods...fucking horrible. Im so fucked up in the head that "normal" with a bunch of scripts is the only way i can live as a human being.

Shit you already started prozac. Okay it's not all bad. Decrementally go off that shit over the course of 3 months. Tell your doctor to help you get off of them because you seem to feel ill. Figure a non-frantic excuse.

All of your drugs, listen man, you can't immediately stop it'll kill you(you'll kill yourself) decrementally go off them hopefully you'll be off them after maybe a 6 months to 1 year, if you go down SLOWLY. like from 20mg a week to 180 a week for 2 weeks(to see if you'll go nuts) then keep going down at a steady decrement.
