the 0.5mm leads suck. i find the 0.7mm ones are decently durable. 1.0 mm ones are available, but theyre quite hard to find

Get a good mechanical pencil, not a crappy cheap ass one.
these are fucking good mechanical pencils. It's like 8 bucks for a 2 pack at Staples but it's worth it. I've had the same pencil for like, 3 years now.

dont you hate it when youre trying to write with a pen, but ink isnt coming out, then you scribble on somewhere else, which works, then when you resume writing, its not working again?

OH FUCK THAT, god I hate that shit.
Gel ink pens are a lot better at this not happening though.
Fuck pencils, I use a uni-ball signo micro 207 and that is the only thing I ever write with.
The ink also helps prevent check fraud.

What's wrong with Mechanical Pencils? Normal pencils have to be fucking sharpened, then break, then your handwriting looks like it was made with a grey crayon, you can't even erase that then...
Fuck that, Mechanical Pencils and a little case of your favorite...uh, graphite sticks or whatever the fuck their called and you're set. Click click, draw some test titties and you're ready to work

Get a good leadholder if you're worried about leads breaking, the leads in these are about 2mm in diameter. Available at most art supply stores.
