lol I'm taking yr post with a grain of salt but c'mon mike, cut me some fucking slack. I've posted
volumes on just about everything under the sun and posted specifically on nootropics numerous times. The search function is open for anyone to use
I mean, damn, I'm not always speedin' ballz (like I am now) and motivated to type up reams of meaningless bullshit that others somehow derive meaning from. I work according to much longer periods of times versus the normal stress filled day-to-day bullshit that people do. Like, I don't plan shit out but I know my mind & soul operate according to certain cycles and while it isn't totally clear cut there are times when I gestate & brood and just kinda am hum drum and then when I've got the fertilization for shit my brain starts growing ideas and that's when I harvest crop.

98% placebo
Of course there are many substances that will over time improve/maintain good brain function...but to think taking for example a racetam for a few months or even a few years is going to make any noticable difference is in for a sad suprise.

I call a major fucking bullshit at yr placebo. Try combining nootropics with psychedelics sometime. I've been on piracetam for the better part of 2 1/2 years at least, hydergeine the same time length but in less quantity (because it's more expensive, though I always got it from IAS. I've seen a few other vendors but so far nothing has worked out lol)
The fact that you can't notice subtle differences in mental states is more telling of yr own ignorance than others experiencing "placebo", which is erroneously used so very often.
Personally I'd have to say that ergoloid is the most powerful and fucking amazing & potential filled nootropic there is. The inventor of it, the Revered Albert Hofmann, took it everyday (iirc) and lived to be 100+ years old. Piracetam is a bit trickier, sometimes it works very well and other times it kinda fades into the background until you start wondering why you trip 10x harder than yr friends on drugs and yet can still remember & learn twice as well...It's especially great for daily smoking. Really clears the mind of the haze.
Hydergeine on its own is something that I can
always tell is working, it is in fact
more powerful than regular psychoactives in many ways. Combined with piracetam it's fucking ridiculous, and
every psychonaught worth his worth in salt has to try the Hofmann special (hydergeine + LSD).
As a note on my own personal experiences with nootropics and the many benefits therein, I have to say that it's not like I just took them and expected "LOLZ0MG MAKE M3 T3H SMARTZ"...naw, I got really heavy into meditation as well as reading & self teaching myself everything under the star.
One nootropic I still want to try very badly is deprenyl, but it's got such a host of contraindications, especially considering all the shit I take on a regular basis...
So yeah: nootropics are ftw. Up the transhumanist freaks. Make smart drugs OTC. Legalize psychedelics. Make cannabis use mandatory and abolish the draft. Put our currency on the
green standard. Use mushrooms to travel through space. Eat light, shit faeries.
If piracetam is losing its magic either up on choline (all natural is always the way to go, supplements suffice but as a rule suxx0r), cut back, or stop entirely for a few weeks. I've noticed a sort of three month time frame that it has it's most magic. That is, after about three months of consistent dosage it's hard to notice any difference...but if you quit for a bit and then start again you'll notice right away.
