Arrow Best movies soundtrack?

What movies has the best soundtrack?

I'm going with The Big Lebowski...tons of great songs, and that movie introduced me to CCR so it gets bonus points for that.

The Good, the Bad and the Ugly. The Ecstasy of Gold at the end at the mexican stand off in the graveyard is just sublime.

Kubrick's Barry Lyndon has some exquisite music. It's speckled with a bit of Celtic here and there, plenty of classical, and the occasional military marching tune. Kubrick may have been a stale as hell storyteller, but his talent for cinematography and sound was just bar none.

Blade Runner (Esper Edition)

If you found someone that hasn't seen the movie, and had them listen to it, they would think it was a concept album.

hehe well fine, I guess I'm the only one that enjoys the rest of the Requiem soundtrack...

Lux Aeterna is played out of course, but I got rest on shuffle while I'm playing Eve, Requiem / Donnie Darko instrumentals / King Arthur soundtrack and Battlestar soundtracks make for good Eve playing

ok I'll withdraw my Requiem, most people think lux aeterna when they see that name but I enjoy the other tracks I guess I'm a sadist.

The new Sherlock Holmes movie had a nice soundtrack, I think. Nice to hear different instrumentation for a change and I think it fit the movie nicely.

And don't think I saw Lord of the Rings mentioned yet. Those movies had EPIC soundtracks, really.

LOTR did have epic soundtracks!

Also, of course, Star Wars. I saw Star Wars in concert last year performed by The Royal Philharmonic and narrated by Anthony Daniels(C3PO.) It was fucking epic.

Garden state was decent. The zero 7 song was on my smoking playlist for a while.

Do you mean like what movie had a good collection of songs as its soundtrack, or best original soundtrack. That makes a big difference.

One of my favorites is Road to Perdition. I didn't really get into movie soundtracks up to that point, but the music on it just set the mood of the movie perfectly.

But yeah, I wish Hans Zimmer or Andrew Newman would write the score to my life. The latest thing that Zimmer did that i was nuts for was the into to the Pacific...

That song is amazingly beautiful

After I saw Top Gun I had that theme song stuck in my head for weeks lol

Good post. Clint Mansell has done some pretty good work. Hans Zimmer, Anne Dudley, there's loads of good composers. Find one you like from a particular film then scan through their work on YouTube.
