How do I remove alcohol stains from leather boots?
I spilled clear sambuca on some matte brown leather boots the other day and now they're spotted with dark brown stains. I've tried using mild hand soap, water and a soft cloth to no effect. Any ideas on how to clean this?

3 parts vinegar to one part water. Moisten a cloth with the solution and dab the area. Let it dry and using a damp cloth, rub saddle soap into the stain until you work up a light lather. Wipe away the lather, let the boots air dry and then oil the boots with mink oil.
