Improvised Pipes

Has anyone here made any cool inventions to smoke with?

I bought this bamboo steamroller from a friend awhile back. I'm pretty sure he made it while he was tweaking but it hits like a beast and the bamboo around the edge of the bowl hole is threaded so it screws in and out. I've debated carving on it or covering it in stickers but so far I've just let if alone.

that thing is cool. when i dont have a pipe, i usually just use some kind of fruit/vegetable with a dense, dry center. potatoes, radishes, apples(duh) work good.

My contribution to this thread is, the 'mute'. You can fill up a cardboard paper towel tube (or any similarly sized tube) with fabric softener sheets, then exhale your smoke thru it to "mute" the smell.

The black piece is a check valve.
I'm pretty sure you guys know how it works lol.

The one we actually made hits like a champ. We used two mason jars, a 1/2" submersible check valve, some glass tubes heated and mended to fit everything properly and a small threaded metal bowl.

It's a pretty cool concept, and it worked great for the first 5 hits or so, after that the valve clogged up and made hitting it nearly impossible.

I'll snap a picture of the actual pipe next time I stop by my friends house.

I light the bowl, lift it up until its full of smoke, remove the cap, lift the entire bottle a cm or two out of the water and clear it through the part you'd normally drink through

I realize people often push it back down into the water, but doing it this way is much nicer on the lungs because you get a blast of fresh air in there at the end.

Doesn't really matter I guess as long as the smoke gets to your lungs.

That bamboo pipe is dope i used to make em
i had one for about 10 -12 years but buried it with my dog blunt
when i don't have a nice glass pipe
i will get bannanna leaves and roll a joint
or use aluminum foil (for the best foil pipe use a really big piece of foil so it doesn't get hot)
i also have gotten a piece of oak and drilled hole in them to make a pipe
my fav is just get a strait piece of pipe like a crack pipe and roll up a lil ball of weed and put it in there and toke
