After 8 years between Zoklet and totse I've realized just how little respect the admins and most moderators have for our users. Behind the scenes I've worked hard to stand up for users who were unfairly treated because of the content of their posts, on a site which was formerly about free speech (within legal limits). While I've helped many, most of my efforts were dismissed or ignored.

Fish removed me as a moderator here for reversing one of Habanero's infractions; we are supposed to contact the admins first, but they usually side with the moderator and/or leave the user banned pending the outcome of an informal "appeals" process which can take several days, even if the infraction is clearly not legitimate. Habanero was banned for insulting The Cheshire Cat.

I mostly post regarding technical subjects so I'm probably not well known on Zoklet, but I hope my knowledge has helped some. I'm moving on to another board which has more respect for free speech and deleting my account and my posts. It just doesn't feel right to post here while such rampant disrespect for the users is happening behind the scenes.

Sucks to see you go. You were one of the few mods here that i actually had respect for because you spoke your mind and didn't give a fuck what anybody had to say. I hope you come and give Totse.info a try again, even if it's in a few months when traffic starts to pick up. I think you'll find that we don't demod or infract people for bullshit reasons like they do here. We are pretty fair in that aspect. Hope to see you around and all the best to you

Thing about Zip was, he was a good guy and believed he was standing behind solid principles (which he was), but in his great haste to superiority he was just fucking over other mods who were trying to do the same thing as he was. He was always too dumb to realize he's not the only one with the right idea, and he'd constantly just casually brush these other faithfuls aside like so much garbage just so he could grab some limelight. In other words, he's a traitor to the cause, even though his tenants are sound.
