Wanted: Alpha Super XT Detacher $$$

Looking for Alpha Super XT Detacher / Alpha Super XT Key / Alpha XT Super Key / Alpha EASy Bottle Key

i want to disassemble one, check the Magnetic strength, polarity, and dimentions.
after i get the details i'm going to get a bunch of Magnets to spec and sell some cheap "KITS" to make they're own.

i'm not too picky as to where the key comes from and they normally run for $30-$40 and shipping... contact me here or pm and lets do business!

You dummy, the homemade S3 key with N52 magnets has enough power to remove the XT tags, ScumBag mentioned it before.

The highest grade of neodymium magnet currently available is N52

There's nothing special about it! The older tags could be removed with weaker grade neodymium magnets because the ones used in the detacher were weaker. You could use N42 magnets and they would still work on the old tags.

Waste of money, it has the same magnets inside. The only thing that helps is the casing with the nubs to help with alignment and prevent breaking, but if you buy some spiderwrap you can add your own.

they are all magnetic except perhaps the bottle opener. That one i took a vinnie superlock detatcher to and it wouldnt budge...

--edit oh and an s3 key i tried too

yeah theyre using magnets and push pins as the lever..
like on the alpha keeper boxes, you use the s3 key to unlock the lock then your hand to slide open the latch.
now if you look at the EASY key, the magnets are in it but the "wings" are the latch



the XT key pretty sure the config is the same as the S3 but higher strength

K.. so the only difference between the S3 HandKey and the XT Super Detatcher is that the XT Detatcher has more powerful magnets? Has anyone tried unlocking XT tags with a regular S3 HandKey? If this is the case couldn't you just replace the weaker magnets in your regular handkey with N52 ones and wallah there's your XT Detatcher.

Also does anyone know any places that sell a regular S3 HandKey? Has anyone bought any off this site? http://www.shopbrodart.com/supplies/...y-Key/?q=alpha. Price is only $32 there.

Yeah I tried ordering one and the next day they sent me and email stating that they need a copy of my business license to process the order.

Exactly my point. I will send you an alpha S3 device. but we already have a tutorial in Bad Ideas for making one. XT tags, I have not come across locally.

but the OM Tags are all over and I could replicate one if I had one also. As soon As I get one, I will put up a tutorial

So does anyone know what shape these OM keys are exactly? They look kinda semi circular. If that's just an N52 magnet but in a funny shape then it should be rather simple to shave a magnet down to fit it. I got an N52 round magnet that'd file down fine to that sorta shape, I just need an OM lock to try it in!

**EDIT** Regarding the Alpha EASy bottle locks, I don't think they're even magnetic. They're way cheaper on average than the S3 keys and I reckon 4 prongs of the right length would be enough to open these up. Just correct dimensions required and we're good to test it out!

As far as the EASy bottle remover I'm not even sure it's magnetic at all...It looks to me like just pushing down summat into all 4 of those holes (to simulate the key) would work to open them. I don't think they're magnetic due to the lower cost of them too, much less on average than the S3 keys.
