Default Suboxone 7hr after Oxycodone?

I've never been an opiate addict or taken them enough to experience withdraw symptoms, and I've recently been enjoying suboxone but not in the same days as I use other opiates.

Its my buddies birthday he took 1 perc 10's about 6 hours ago with no tolerance, is that enough and long enough to have any interaction with the suboxone? I know the nasaline or something in it is to blame and subutex is fine but I couldn't get my hands on any of those.

It's a waste of time.

Get some real drugs.

1. Doesn't matter when you take the subs if you're not a regular user.
2. It's naloxone, not nasaline.
3. Subutex, for our intents and purposes, works exactly the same as suboxone.

Buprenorphine has a higher affinity for your receptors than oxycodone, so it'll just knock the oxy out of every receptor site. That can cause precipitated withdrawls, but for someone who's taking perc 10's, I'm guessing habitual use isn't an issue. It'll just end the oxy high to begin the suboxone high.

And don't diss NfHC.

Make sure he takes the whole sub or he probably won't feel much.

Don't take a whole sub 8mg if you have no tolerance.
I have a tolerance and I only take 2mgs tops.

Lets just clarify that if you take suboxone as directed the naloxone/narcan is not active. The naloxone is only active if it is injected.

the opiate receptor antagonist in suboxone has no effect when taken orally so don't worry about wasting a dose by taking it after taking something else you won't negate the earlier dose.
buprenorphine is a decent drug, what is everyone talking about, its a strong opiate receptor mixed agonist/antagonist with an i.v. effective dose of .3 mg in a non tolerant user, orals not containing naloxone are very low dosed too, similar to the one dose injection vials so if a non tolerant took an 8mg that is almost thirty times what a doctor would prescribe, the usual calculation for getting off is to take three times your prescribed amount, so for codeine if your rx says 30mg take 90mg and so on which makes 1mg pretty good for buprenorphine for a first time non tolerant user.

granted, the subox drugs for a heroin addict are bunk, complete shit, for an opiate lover you are looking at oxymorphone, hydromorphone, oxycodone (maybe), fentanyl, deso, dipropionoylmorphine, methyldihydromorphine, dromoran, dihydromorphine, heroin, dextromoramide, prodine and sufentanyl. I don't know many others that an opiate drug seeker would like other than methadone and levo methadyl.
if its your birthday you get a free trip to emergency, why not go out and find some heroin? if there aint much around for sure you can find a little tar somewhere. good times.

my apologies to the guy above me, i reitterated his comment cuz i never read it first time.

think about what you are saying. bupe has a higher affinity, yes but it is also active so even if every one of your receptors is bound and the bupe kicks some off it bupe is still active and therefore you will pretty much remain the same. it only takes one molecule of bupe to displace one molecule of oxy and that one of bupe is about 100 times more powerful per unit than oxy. This is biochemistry and biochem is the same as chemistry, if you have a catalyst (receptor) that is bound transferring hydrogen to a substrate and there are empty catalysts a higher affinity substrate will first bind the empty catalyst molecules prior to using energy to displace substrates from bound catalysts. So the qualifying condition is that he took enough oxy to fill all receptors, and that 10 hours later all of his receptor sites are in the bound state with oxycodone, your comment implies this and that by taking an active mixed agonist antagonist which alleviates heroin detox symptoms will induce detox. I'm sorry I don't see the logic there. Methadone is a good example, it can displace heroin or block it but it doesn't induce detox.
