Ok that makes sense. 600 is nothing, buuuuut, think about it, by paying to publish a few dozen books, her parents have set that girl's future. For less than the price of college tuition, they've pretty much inspired her to write for life. She's got the experience of writing full-length books now, her SAT scores are going to be phenomenal, and by the time she's in her 20s she'll be an amazing writer.

EHH FALSE! I enjoy your optimism but publishing a mere 600 books won't "set her life." It might be just a pricey phase in her life.
As for the SAT scores, a $2,000 full length course not only would've covered reading and writing, but math also.

More likely she'll come around to realizing what a massive fail these books have been and be so utterly dead on the inside by the age of 21 that she will never attempt anything creative ever again, lol. Besides, writing is not like lifting weights. You don't necessarily get better at it via repetition. Though of course an average writer can become an above-average or even good writer with enough practice, it's largely more of a have-it or do-not-have-it kind of thing. Like, I could practice painting all I want, but I'm never going to be Monet.
Best case scenario, you might see one of her books at the check out at a supermarket in 10-20 years.
