Default Albums of 2008

So, what got released last year? I didn't really get anything except for The Uptones new album, "Skankin Foolz Unite". Hate the title, love the band.

What got released this year that you liked?

Atmosphere - When Life Gives You Lemons, You Paint That Shit Gold!

Everything else was more or less negligible.

There were some pretty good hits for 2008, but it's definitely been a slacking year compared to 07, in my opinion.

These were some of my favorites:

Spiritualized - Songs in A&E
Destroyer - Trouble in Dreams
Vampire Weekend - S/T
Constantines - Kensington Heights
The Mars Volta - The Bedlam in Goliath

Agalloch - The White EP
Opeth - Watershed
Suspyre - When Time Fades...
Nothing else I regularly listen to but I'm sure more stuff will turn up.

Conor Oberst - Conor Oberst (Self titled)
Of Montreal - Skeletal Lamping
One Day As A Lion - One Day As A Lion (Self titled EP. Not quite Rage, but it's not bad)
The Mars Volta - The Bedlam In Goliath
My Morning Jacket - Evil Urges
The Decemberists - Always The Bridesmaid

I gotta say, I was really excited to hear ODAAL (since it's the brainchild of Zach De La Rocha and Jon Theodore) but I was pretty underwhelmed upon hearing it.

I had higher expectations for it too. The lyrics are good, but the music/rhythm seems a bit bland.
